“Nature”
Natural Reserve
Arriving at La Hacienda the majesty of TOSA Blue Mountain is breath-taking. The name "Blue Mountain" is because the natural rocks of the mountain are all BLUE! Running through these stunning blue rocks are large veins of QUARTZ!
Now fully protected and preserved for generations to come, the 3.5km of onsite trails and abundant flora and fuana greet you with reminders of all the best our planet has to offer. As you guest you will have access to download our guide to all the onsite vegetation.
Carefully curated by our in-house onsite Biologist, you can explore the vast Andes Mountain paradise through the self-guided tour or share time with an expert who can answer even the most discerning questions.
Josue Lopez
Natural Reserve
My name is Josue Lopez, I am a biologist from Cuenca Ecuador. I've always loved nature and I've been working with plants as a botanist for almost 20 years. My work in TOSA Blue Mountain started 4 years ago, managing a dying pine forest that is inside the property. We saved it from a fungal attack that was killing the trees. Right away I fell in love with the property, the people protecting it and all the life that surrounds the place. Currently I'm the resident biologist at TOSA Blue Mountain: our main goal is to protect, rehabilitate and restore the ecological value and role of the land IN and AROUND TOSA.
